With a background of over 20 years in senior roles within the industry, Peter’s role is to provide high level technical and commercial advice and solutions to clients.

Peter Vince’s advice encompasses such areas as:

  • Choice of insolvency and restructuring options;
  • Strategies to maximise the potential for recoveries;
  • Assistance with assessment of risks and benefits in commercial litigation;
  • Development of strategies for individuals with personal financial problems;
  • Identification of opportunities for informal restructuring and trading out options;
  • Preparation of formal and innovative proposals for dealing with corporate and personal insolvency issues; and
  • Development of appropriate pragmatic responses to bankruptcy notices, statutory demands, preference claims, insolvent trading proceedings and the threat of legal action.

Peter’s extensive experience in conducting appointments enables him to act as a mentor to the professional team within the practice and to drive the operational development of the business to achieve the best outcomes from complex insolvency situations.

Peter has specialised in both personal and corporate insolvency assignments, conducted under the relevant statutory legislation. He also has a background in the conduct of auditing assignments with one of the major accounting firms. His industry experience extends across a wide variety of industries and his special interest is in the formulation of proposals for turning around the fortunes of companies and dealing with the financial dilemmas facing individuals and partnerships experiencing financial difficulties.

Peter gained his accountancy, commercial and insolvency experience working initially at major accounting firms, following that experience with a partnership at a mid-tier accounting practice and then moved to a specialist practice focussed on corporate reconstruction and insolvency management. He was instrumental in the establishment of the insolvency practice for that firm in Dandenong and has worked in the region for twenty years. Peter’s experience extends across most industry sectors. His specific experience extends to the conduct of the receivership of Webster Computer Corporation and that of Interwest Hotels. Other assignments have included Saba Furniture, Dandenong Football Club, Cadillac Bar, Centralian Tours, Chariah Resources and Rixtam Constructions.

Peter has also administered a number of quite significant personal insolvency and bankruptcy matters over the course of his career. Peter has an economics degree from Monash University and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. He is an Official Liquidator, a Registered Trustee in Bankruptcy and a member of the Australian Restructuring Insolvency & Turnaround Association.
